The whole "soulbound" concept is a harsh mistress.
One click of the mouse, and ding, no refunds, no exchanges. Buyer Beware.
And it really sucks if the thing you intended to click on costs 3 awards, which can only be earned at a rate of one per day.
And even worse if there's an achievement that's going to be made accessible in the next patch (any tuesday now), and you're on schedule to be ready for that achievement the moment it opens up.
But only if you DONT FAT FINGER THE DAMN RECIPE AND BLOW THREE DALARAN COOKING AWARDS ON A STUPID RECIPE YOU ALREADY KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oye Vey!
So I opened a ticket.
I hope its a slam dunk. I mean, there's a soulbound recipe in my bag that I'm unable to do anything with other than DESTROY. I can't learn it since I already know it. Vendors aren't interested in giving me silvers for it. I can't mail it to the uber gf since its soulbound. And, not mere coincidence, there's a recipe that costs the same, is not yet learned by me, and is required for Chef Amava, and sits directly next to the incorrectly purchased duplicate recipe in the vendor's display window.
Unless the GM is evil and out to get me, I'd think he'll see that this is a case of fat fingers and will either give me my 3 awards back, or give me the recipe I was trying to buy.
So the first-level GM guy talked to me, seemed to agree that I'm an honest chap with a clicking problem.
He told me not to fiddle with the ticket in any way shape or form, and escalated to a "Character Specialist".
My bet is that the Character Specialist will actually get to the ticket AFTER I've already earned enough Dalaran's to buy the two outstanding recipes, PLUS the one I accidentally didn't buy today.
/doh
My only wish is that they make the Chef title come with a special hat. Whitemane's Chappeau is the closest thing to a chef's hat that I know of, but it's red.

Oh yeah, and I'm a noob
Woke up tuesday morning with just enough time to hit a BG before gettin' ready for work blogging.
Doh. Tuesday morning. No WoW.
Ok, maybe I'll check out the new guild on the Armory to see how many of the people came over to the new one since I really hadn't played much the night before.
Then I get to inspecting some of the other hunters to see if there's any blindingly obvious suggestions I can make, trying to be a good little officer.
One thing leads to another, and I'm playing around on warcrafter.net which is pretty cool site.
Fiddling with the sandbox and other such featurettes.
Hovering my mouse over my cloak, I see the usual stat window pop up.
Hmmm, that's funny. Warcrafter doesn't display your enchants?
You'd think a fancy site like this would show you your enchants pretty straightforward.
Pop mouse off of the cloak and back on, maybe its some stupid javascript glitch.
Nope. Reload website and try again. Nope.
Ah, lemme try another piece of gear. Mouse over the chest. Yeah, see, there's the gems, and there's the enchants. WTF is up with the cloak?
Go check Armory.
Doh.
I'll tell you WTF is up with the cloak. Its being equipped by a noob.
When Drape of the Dark Reavers first dropped of of Shade, I was wearing Blood Knight War Cloak that I had recently purchased for badges.
At the time, I had this whole hit rating fiasco going on with my gear and was playing around with lots and lots of gear configurations.
Along the way, I decided to keep my old blue +24 hit rating belt, and also keep the Blood Knight War Cloak, and decided to not ever really use the Dark Reaver cloak.
Then, some short time after that, I decided to go PVP and replace a bunch of stuff, including the +24 hit belt, thus forcing me into a whole new hit rating fiasco.
Dark Reaver cloak ended up becoming part of my gear set.
But never got enchanted :-(
Not the biggest thing in the world, but noobish no doubt.

19/20
I log in tuesday night and start doing some daily quests. Cooking quest needed me to get a chicken wing, so I hop on over to Skettis to scramble some eggs and collect a wing.
I had 17 of the eggs bombed when my team lead whispers me to see if I want to come join them in Kara. No doubt!!!!
I tell him I just need to shoot over to Shatt to pickup my raid bag with my flasks, potions, food stuffs, etc.
Drop another bomb, ding 2 more eggs.
Scoot over to another hut, drop another bomb.
WTF?
No credit for the bomb, even though I clearly watched it travel down its arc and detonate directly on an egg. I'm still at 19/20 eggs.
Ok, maybe a glitch. Lemme go try another...
DAMN. nothing.
Ok, one more....
GRRRRR. nada.
At this point I give up, hearth to shatt, grab my stuff, get summoned, and have a fun time in Kara.
A few hours later, I find myself back in Skettis, determined to fry up that last egg.
Drop a few bombs, nothing.
Now its getting frustrating. So I abandon the quest and try again.
No credit at all for anything.
I'm exhausted at this point as its several hours past my normally late bedtime, and my wakeup time for work is dangerously close.
I log out.
Sleeping in a house that has 3 dogs basically means that you never get to sleep in, as one of them invariably wants to go out to pee, or one is a bit hungry or they just want to smack you in the face while you're sleeping.
So I found myself with a few minutes before work, and I log in, really determined to eat an egg sandwich courtesy of the nice folks over at Skettis Waffle House.
Bam, bam, bam, bam, Bam, bam, bam, bam, Bam, bam, bam, bam, Bam, bam, bam, bam, Bam, bam, bam, bam.
Eggs go down like a charm.
Then it dawns on me.
Raid invite came and was accepted right between eggs #19 and #20 the night before, and while in raid group, you can't progress non-raid quests.
Doh

Blogger's Remorse
Ok, its not really "remorse", but due to the fact that I can view my blog during the day, but not update it, when I find errors, or when Someone helpfully points things out to me, and I can't fix them until later, I get antsy.
Did I mess up? In my earlier posts, I was referring to the boss in Blood Furnace as Magtheridon. But then I was reading a post on Altitis where he refers to the boss as Keli'dan. I could have sworn that the warning shouts and taunts that kept showing up in the dungeon chat were coming from someone named Magtheridon. I'll have to research it when I get home. Either that or hopefully a reader will comment, because perhaps that's a blazing error on my part.
Hmmm. Looks more and more like an error on my part. Of course, while at work I can only see the tiny snippets that google search results display for most wow sites, and the actual site gets blocked. But it looks like Magtheridon lives in his Lair, and not the Blood Furnace.
I'm a silly goose.
